Hi there,

I'm back with two cards. The first one (on top of this post - sorry for the blurry photo - lots of rain here lately) is the one that was made for 4 challenges - I love when things just fall in place!

Washed out?

Hi there,

just a quick post today - days are busy at the moment - that's why I am pretty quiet during the last weeks. But it will be better :-)

Today I wanna share a card with you that I made for a contest over at The Greeting Farm. 3 wonderful ladies and I "came together" (well, virtually) and we all made a crad for the recent contest at TGF, then we chose the "best" card and that ws our entry for this week's challenge. The theme was "retro" and I had a hard time with this. So I finally came up with this beauty.

If you search for her at TGF you won't find her because my friend Lorie made just the best card for this contest. So her card went into the race - she hasn't post it yet but I will update this post when she posts, okay?

Thank you for stopping by today!
Hugs Tanja

here is m second submission as a guest designer for the color dare. And this week's colors were gorgeous together: crushed curry, kiwi kiss, brilliant blue, kraft, whisper white

I choose one of the retired stamp set from The Greeting Farm - not sure a but the name..- and colored up the image with my Aquapainter and ink pads. The flourishes are made with a set from Inkadinkado called "flourishes. The DP is from SU and the border punch is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog - LOVE it!

Thank you for stopping by and have a good Wednesday - stay safe!

Mer-boy Ian

Hi,

it's me again! I just finished this card and wanted to enable you .... Do you like freebies? So, hop over to The Greeting Farm blog and grap one. You can get 5 more if you play with them this week. You can find all the exact deets here.

Well, this is my take for today. When I saw Ian as a mermaid I was bummed. So not matching. But while I was coloring I really got to know him better ;-) and fell in love. And I couldn't help and had to add the sentiment from Verve's "Beautiful You" set ;-), kwim?

I combined Ian with the sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch - I wanted to play with them for soooo long and finally got to manage it, yeah!

Have a wonderful night, my friend and check back tomorrow - I have a sweet Edwin-card for you!!!

daydreaming ...

Hi there,

I hope you all had a wonderful christmas and could spend your days with familiy and friends.
We had the most calm and smooth christmas we could think of (except finding our son wait awake at 2.45 am on christmas day - ready to tear into the presents .... :::rolleyes:::). even though the rest of our family is in Germany we spend christmas day with our "adopted" family - which are our neighbor and friends next door. That was soooooo good!!!

I haven't had enough time and I were not in the right mood to sit down and stamp for a little bit .. BUT .... today I recieved the most beautiful present from a dear friend who sent me a cute christmas card and added a wonderful stamp from CC Design!!! How sweet is that???? (THANK YOU - my friend, you made my day today - thank you so much!!!!) So I think this afternoon I will sneak on my desk and play a little bit with my new toy ;-)

For today I wanna show you a card I finished right before christmas. i was tired of all the christmas and winter-y cards and I had her sitting on my desk for quite a while so I challenged myself so make a card with soft colors (usually I like using the brighter ones). And here is the result:

The stamp is from The Greeting Farm, DP is from my scrap stash, coloring is done with watercolor pencils and Aquapainter; ribbon & Punch & EF folder & cs are SU and raindrops are Cloud 9 Design!!!

I hope you will have a wonderful Sunday and thank you for popping in
Hugs Tanja

Club Anya blog hop!

Hi there,

when you are here to hop with the Club Anya folks then you are right. If you just stumbled onto this blog you are very welcome to sneak around and just check out what this is all about.

There is a huge - I mean really HUGE - blog hop going on tonight starting at the Club Anya blog . Everybody will show you something christmas related.

Well, and there we have the first problem here. I was so excited when I signed up for the hop that I didn't read all the deets. "Christmas" - is the theme. Usually no problem for me because I have tons of christmas stamps ... but .... none of the TGF ones. :-( Ordering some? Too late! Using digis? Have non of those either and there is no Ian or Anya christmas digi stamp in store.

Hm!!!!!! I went creative and and used "My guy Ian" set and just adjusted him a little bit. Ian is now wearing a Santa hat. I decided to keep this card "cool". We have a lot of single guys here around and it is always hard to make a christmas card for them. So I stuck with the "coolness" and just added a handwritten sentiment et voilà! Here is My Christmas Guy Ian

The hat is handdrawn too. I wiped of the ink for the cap and stamped Ian without hat. Then I just draw him this hat and colored it red. It kinda worked. Some liquid appliqué and it was done.

Thank you for hopping with me today - I hope to see you soon here :-)
Hugs Tanja

Sugar 'n Spice

Hi there,

this is a cutie, isn't she? My friend Kadie sent me some images and she was one of them. I inked her up and paired her with some scrap-leftover from my Key Ingredients from Taylored Expression. Did I tell you that I love this paper? Oh, well .... MOJO Monday's sketch for this week seemed to be a perfect match for her. So I put everything together, added a rub-on from Old Saint Nick (SU), riding hood red ribbon, some embellies and ... voilà!

Thank you for stopping by and for all the nice comment you left - they are very much appreciated!
Don't forget to hug your loved ones today

tired of doing laundry?

Good morning!

How are you doing today?
About two weeks ago I received my order from The Greeting Farm. I love their Hope and Grace line and when I saw this lady sitting in the middle of all the laundry I fell in love. Maybe because she reminds me of myself sometimes ... ;-) I colored her with SU markers on watercolor paper but this time I'm not quite sastisfied with the result. Because of the cool DP from Basic Grey you don't see too much of my coloring "mistakes", right?

This was my entry for Viva la Verve OCT3 and the twist was to use fabric. Well, I cut a circle from an old "pirate costume" from the boys and adhered it underneath laundry -hope/ grace. I think this old costume made my card ;-). What do you think?

Thak you for popping in today.
hugs Tanja

TGF swap

Hello,

I'm back with two cards to share. I signed up for a swap hosted by my dear friend Kadie - aka Kmensley- over at SCS for cards with stamps from The Greeting Farm - btw, Kadie has been one of their talented Spring Gardner this year. She challenged us to use a TGF stamp - and here is what I came up with.

I took this lovely Anya and colored her with my SU markers (haven't gotten any Copics yet and cannot decide if I really want them ...) And the idea for this layout came from one of the cards I saw in the last issue from PaperCrafts. But as much as I searched for the card again to give credit for the designer I couldn't find it anymore - sorry for this!
The patterned paper underneath is from K&Company from the Que Sera collection. And I HANDSTICHTED the two papers. It's hard to see on the photo but Kadie and Lorie (another outrageous talented friend of mine) use this technique a lot and I was just too lazy to pull out my sewing machine. Add some brilliant blue paper stamped with Polka Dots background, glue some flowers from K&Company, ad a bit of ribbon and ... voilà!! I hope Kadie will like it.

I always stamp some more images when I prepare to do a swap - you never know how much you will mess up while coloring, kwim? So, this time I had Miss Anya sitting blanc on my desk and I started to color her in some lilac-colors. Usually this is way out of my comfort zone - but I think it's okay so far. I added some glitter with my Sipca Penn on the flowers, two dew drop on the left side and some swirls - made with Spellbinder dies. Oh, and DP is from SU - Cottage Wall series. And I used the sketch from SCS for this week.

I like how it turned out and I think I will send it to my sister - she is having a real tough time at the moment. So hopefully it will make her smile.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday y'all

Hugs Tanja

Blog-hop TGF

Hi there,

I know, today is not the day of the HUGE blog-hop from The Greeting Farm - it is TOMORROW!!! But - I usually wanted to participate in this hop and it would have been my fist blog-hop ever but for a strange reason that I even cannot remember I signed up for the Verve blog-hop that will be tomorrow, too. Don't misunderstand me - I LOVE my Verve stamps but I guess I was so excited to be a part of a blog-hop that I mixed up the companies. Does this makes sense for you??? Anyway ...

I created this card as my entry for the TGF blog-hop. The card-sketch was from a challenge I cannot remember (since we are back from vacation I need a while to be back on my road again ;-)) And this Miss Anya saw ink for the first time in our relationship - she was so fun to color.

I hope y'all will have a lot of fun tomorrow when you hop with all this amazing and talented ladies out there from one blog to another - I will enjoy it!

Check back tomorrow - a Verve-card will be waiting for you!
Hugs Tanja

TGF - black and white

Good morning and a happy start of the weekend!

last night I was up until midnight to finish this card (and to do laundry, some cleaning ......)
It is for the the challenge over at The-Greeting-Farm-blog
It is to use just black and white and their sketch... Well, I messed up the sketch a little bit but I didn't use any other color .... not even a skin tone. But all these REALLY elegant ladies don't spent time in the sun so they are always that pale - right ;-) ?

For Anya's dress I used silver bells Shimmerz to make it a little bit sparkle. The whole lady is colored with my basic black ink pad and an Aquapen.

Thank you for checking in - wish you a great Friday and hope to see you soon!

Hugs Tanja

Something is still missing on the card but I couldn't figure out was it is .... So I stayed with what I have done so far. I colored Ian with SU markers and embossed the black paper. Then I sponged white ink on it so that the blackis not to hard for little Ian ...

Thank you for stopping by - wish y'all a wonderful Memorial Day weekend

Hugs Tanja

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Good morning,

today I will show you two cards I made over the past days.
The first one is my first ever creation with a TGF stamp. I love this little Dress-up-Ian. But I couldn't figure out what to do with him. SO I added some skulls and bones and the "you rock" stamp from Inkadinkado's "RockStar" set. With a lot of imagination you could think that Ian is dreaming about being a star ... okay, you may need a lot of imagination! =)
Sorry for the blurry photo - I took it before 10 o'clock and the sun was okay so far but suddenly the light was so bright and I had to finish this. I promise better photos in the future, okay?
The second card is my submission for our monthly Sisterhood-card-swap. Catherine aka PaperAddict is hosting the month of June and her theme is to create something to honor your country (Catherine, I hope I repeated it correctly). Well, due to the fact that I don't have any german related stamps nor did I have any idea for a german card (hey, that is really difficult when you are living here in the States and you don't have ANY german stamps) I made THIS card.
I have the impression that something is missing but I can't say what it is. So I'll leave it how it is.
When I saw the stamp from Our Daily Bread Design (I was on their website to search for a stamp set for my Secret Sister ***) I fell in love with the "I pledge Allegiance". Our youngest boy is an american guy so I think I will use it a lot for scrapbooking. But it was also perfect for Catherine's theme. So I pulled out that sriped paper and stamped starts on it. The most difficult part for me was the sewing - I tried it the first time on paper! I'm not able to sew a straight line but I think for this "vintage" layout it is okay.

Thanks for stopping by - wish y'all a wonderful weekend
Hugs Tanja
