Happy Sunday!

I know I'm late for a happy Sunday ... We had a wonderful and HOT summer day! What about you???

For today's card I threw 2 challenges together - Our Creative Corner sketch-/ and Raspberry Suite color challenge.

And I decided that this will be my card for my Secret Sister because I like how it turned out. And the Serenity Prayer is perfect for her .... can't tell you more ... it will be a secret until the 1st of August.

So, for this card I tried my new butterfly-die from SU and the specialty paper I bought months ago and haven't touched it since. I hate to use paper that I really like because I know one day it will be gone .... sounds crazy, huh?

Everything else on this card is pretty self-explaining.

Good Morning everybody!

How are you doing today?

Do you remember my card kits? Well, I still have a couple of those. And today I wanna show you one of the images I'm in love with. It's Miss DaisyBittyBloom from Stampingbella and I think she is the sweetest! I got her in one of my card kits I received from a swap and I couldn't wait to color her in.

The best things of the card swaps are that you get the PP and have to try to use is (well, if you want to). And this lady came with those orange DP from SU - love love love it!

Have a closer look to the the big flower in the upper right corner. I stamped the "fresh cut" with Versamark on whisper white and colored it with Pastels and punched it out!

I still have to work on my shading skills but I really like how everything turned out.

new technique

Hello everybody!

I'm still working on project to take with us to Germany. While we will be in Germany my mother will have a shoulder surgery and my MiL will celebrate her 60th birthday. So, I wanted to make a very special card for each situation and ended up trying the Tri Shutter Card! It is so easy to make and the result is awesome.

The first one is supposed to be the birthday card. I LOVE the Bella Rose DP from SU - the red is awesome and the flowers .... yummy!

The second card will be the get-well-soon-card (that's what the sentiment says in german ;-) ).

To both cards I will attach a picture of the family on the left side of the card (where the ribbon is) - well, at firstI have to search for good one, then crop it, chosse the wallet-size, get my hubby to print it ....... we will see =)

Father's Day or another color challenge

Hi y'all,

this is Kristina Werner's color challenge for this week - I love the colors but to use them all together .....? Hm, I had a hard time coming up with an idea but that's what they are for, right?

A couple weeks ago I ordered this beautiful stamp set from Papertrey Ink Called "Fathers know best" and I love the way how I can stamp the images - so clean and crisp. And everything was packed in so nicely .... (Won't be the last time I placed an order there ;-) )

So, I finally ended up using four stamps of this set.

The only thing I had to mess up with was the button - just had a chocolate chip one. Everything else is pretty self-explaining.

Swimming lessons

Hi there,

just another quick post today. We just headed home from swimming class with my oldest son. Our temperatures are around 100°F and humidity is nearly the same in percentage ;-)

So, we try to rest a little bit and then we will be on our the way to another pool party ......pweh!

I received one of my favorite Rileys the day before yesterday and I had to ink him up right away. Love love love him! And I found these yummy paper in my stash from K&Company and had to put everything together. Riley cannot decide - swimming in the pool or tanning under an umbrella ... a combination of both would be great, huh?

I didn't want to cover so much from that DP so I just sponges the edges and put a little piece of this awesome "waterpaper" behind Riley. I always have to think about the swimming lessons my son is participating since 2 weeks that I had to sew a little fence around him to keep him "safe" =)

Added some dew drops and there we go ....

Happy Monday!!!!

After a long weekend I'm back in blogger-world. My husband came home on Saturday from a 10-day-trip to Utah, Arizona and Nevada. So, our house was filled with boys (young and old ones) running around, chasing each other ....

And during that time I took a little break while everybody was sleeping and made this card for Dawn McVey's Rapberry Suite Color Challenge.

The layout is pretty clean and simple but I like the colors together and wanted to try my "Dreams du Jour" set from SU.

That's for today - just a short post during boy's naptime ... Mommy gotta go and make a card ;)

Good morning!

Since Kristi from Hanna stamps is retiring her "But I need it"-set I had to get me one of the last ones. 

And it cries for paper-piecing, right?

So, here we go! I paperpieced as much as possible. The rest of Hanna is colored with my SU markers. I drew the background by hand and colored it with my Aquapainter, some inkpads and good old german watercolor pencil from Faber-Castell. I have to firgure out how to improve my shading skills but I'm pleased with the result so far.

I've learnd from my friend Sandra that you'll have a crispier look of you watercolored image when you put it on a white mat.... so I tried it and it works! Go, check out her blog - you sure will learn something new!!!

Yummy icecream

Hi folks,

just a quick post today - my husband is still on his Canyon-trip and the boys are having quiet-time at the moment. I have to take this time to do some necessary work around the house and sneak at my desk just for a little bit .... :-)

I wanted to share a crad today that I made for a monthly card-swap. You get the image and the DP from the hostess of the month and create a 6 car

ds that you send to each member of the group. And for this month we got these wonderful icecream-cone.

I picked the colors of the DP for my iceream and colored it with my SU markers. I still have to learn a lot about shading and how to .... But I really like the colors together.

Hello and Happy Sunday!

Time for another challenge-card!!! last night I couldn't sleep very well so I got up and saw some of my card-kits laying on my desk. So I grabbed one from Janet Rossi (I had some from her before and they are all awesome) and used this week challenge from Our Creative Corner. And this is what I came up with:

I LOVE the DP I found in her back and the primas match perfectly. - BTW, so sad that they will retire Riding Hood Red - is anybody else here who cannot live without it???? ;) -

I colored the hearts with a glitter pen for a little bit of sparkle and added liquid pearls to the corners if the image. Thank you Janet, for providing such an amazing kit!

TGF - black and white

Good morning and a happy start of the weekend!

last night I was up until midnight to finish this card (and to do laundry, some cleaning ......)

It is for the the challenge over at The-Greeting-Farm-blog

It is to use just black and white and their sketch... Well, I messed up the sketch a little bit but I didn't use any other color .... not even a skin tone. But all these REALLY elegant ladies don't spent time in the sun so they are always that pale - right ;-) ?

For Anya's dress I used silver bells Shimmerz to make it a little bit sparkle. The whole lady is colored with my basic black ink pad and an Aquapen.

another challenge

Hi there,

this time I tried the MOJO Monday challenge #89.

Again, I used one of the images I got in a card kit swap - believe me I just participated in 2 card kit swaps and I still have a lot of images as leftovers  =).  The image is from Stamingbella ...

I colored it with my SU markers and sponged all around the little girl.  The cs is mellow moss which I embossed with embossing template from SU. And underneath the yellow flower ... I stamped a flower from Inkadinkado in perfect plum on whisper white and punched it out.

Tomorrow I will be on my way to bring my husband to the Montgomery airport - he will go on a river-rafting-tour in the Grand Canyon with our neighbor! So no post tomorrow but I'm gonna show you another card with this lovely girl on Friday. Stay tuned!!!!

Our Creative Corner Challenge

Good morning!

I wanna share a card I made for the challenge over at Our Ceative Corner. 

I used Tango Tangerine as a cardbase and pulled out a leftover from my beloved Haiku-DP.

The stamp is from Artful Inkable "Sweet Orange" and is colored with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. For sponging I used the Antique Linen Distressed Ink from Tim Holtz and I put a chocolate chip mat underneath the image. The sentiment is from my SU rub-on collection - boy, I love rub-ons!

I put a little bit of Crystal Clear over the oranges just to make them shine a little bit and to add more dimension. - That's it!

I gotta hurry, the boys want to play in the water and with more then 90°F I can really understand

that .

Congratulation

Hey folks,

I have to give a big shout to Mary and Lorie - they just became DT members! Mary for "The Greeting Farm" and Lorie for "Sweet and Sassy" - this two are awesome and so talented! Please droole over to their blocks and leave some congrats.

I wanted to show you another card made of some sraps.

I got the bella image from a card-kit-swap and put it to good use - I think!

It is really self-explaining - just used my Oval Scallop Nesties - and the DP is "Afternoon Tea". The Dew Drop are by Robin's Nest and the sentiment is a rub-on from SU!

I gotta run, we will prepare Enchilladas today. Have a wonderful day!!!!
