our new home

Hi there,

finally the day is here when we get the "contract" for our NEW HOME!!! Yes, hubby and I finally broke down and decided to BUY a home instead of renting.

For all you guys in the US: in Germany the prices for a home on a small piece of land are just ridiculous expensive. But when we saw this jewel we couldn't resist and bought it right away.
:)

Main entrance

our fireplace - gotta LOVE it

backyard with enough space for the boys to play :)

The only "negative" thing is that we have to wait until April 1st to get the keys and start moving in - when you rent a house you have to tell the landlord 3 month in advance that you gonna move out by then (insert rolleyes - Germany!) So I have to be patient but at least I can start planning now.

Thank you for letting me share my excitement with you
Special hugs to y'all
Tanja

cqc#59- corner bookmarks

Hi there,

it's colorQ-time again and this is my take for this week's combo. LOVE rich razzleberry! And I needed some bookmarks for my sister who ordered quiet a bunch so I used this weeks colors to create two corner bookmarks (you can find the tutorial here at SCS). I kept it simple - so me :)

What do you think? Have you already made bookmarks? Please leave a note and I would love to get some inspiration from you.

I'm off to get prepared for a class I'm teaching next week - still no clue what cards to make with 10 kids ..... (scratching head) - any ideas?

cqc#58 - special

Hi there,

another week flew by and now it's time again for the colourQ-challenge. This week Arielle brought to you this great color combo - so fallish-y!
I wanted to use one of my newest Lori-Boyd-digis (go and check out her new release - jaw-dropping-cute!) and I decided to play with Jen Tapler's sketch.

So, here we go. Enjoy!!!!!
Hugs and kisses
Tanja

P.S. will post the deets later as I'm running out the door ***waving***

cqc#57

Hi there,

Harvey (my computer) seems to be a little stinker at the moment. Maybe he feels a little neglected ... *sigh*

But anyhow - last but not least here is my take of this week's colorQ challenge.

I thought I get a jumpstart on christmas cards this year... and I took this great color combo and designed a card with some not-so-typical christmas colors.
Since time is short here on the Hartmann Ranch I made it easy peasy and pretty much self-explaining (???).

Okay, today is hubby's birthday and we have some exciting things to do today - still a little secret here but if you stay tuned I will let you know in a couple days what's going on here and why I'm not posting that often ...

Sending huge hugs your way, my friends

cqc55 - 2 challenges

Hi friends,

have you heard it already? Arielle has posted two challenges over at the colourQ-blog for today- the first one is a wonderful fall-ish color combo and the second one is with lots of pink : it's Breat Cancer Awareness Month!!!

And if you play along with both challenges you can win a prize!!! How cool is that?

I made a card for each challenge and I kept them pretty simple.
My first one is for the pink-challenge and I was inspired by this beautiful card from Maille Belles. I just added a little bit more black for "drama" (love this word!).

This is my second card for the fall-color-combo. I stamped the leaf from "Fall Season" by Inkadinkado randomly in tango tangerine, riding hood red (still no pure poppy ink here yet) and river rock. I then added the sentiment from "Dream du Jour" by SU in black. The MS glitter was sprinkled on a strip of sookwang tape and the button was cut off an old jacket (I love to reuse :)) and popped right away onto this card. There we go!

Now it's your turn - show us your take on the color combos and with a little bit of luck you will be the winner!!!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving all this wonderful encouraging comments. They mean a lot to me.

Hugs Tanja

cqc#54 - BOO

Hi there,

I'm late again. Seems to be a "new tradition" here - have to change this :)
Today is colorQ-day again and Arielle has chosen some great Halloween colors - love it. So I printed out this adorable little "Ladybug" designed and just released by Lori Boyd ( if you haven't yet you HAVE TO go and check out her digi-store - sooooooo cute).

The layout is from Iheart2 stamp by Jen del Muro - love it, definately will use it more often in the future.

Gotta run - need to prepare everything for tomorrow for work :)

Take care and hugs for y'all

cqc#53 PTI Guide Lines II

Hi there,

it's been a busy week for the Hartmann Family. I had my frist day of work on Friday and even though I just LOVE to go to work it is pretty "exhausting" to make it a new routine. We are leaving the house so early and the kids still need some more time to get adjusted to the new situation. Preparing all the little things the night before is nesseccary and still needs a little practicing :).

So, enough rambling. Today is Tuesday again and that means time for the colourQ challenge.
I Loved the colors for this week but couldn't get the pear pizzaz worked in - tell me how do you like it ....
The DP is selfmade with my Guide Lines Two set from PTI - I think it is a must have set - so versatile and cool. I listed to my friend Arielle when she told me to "play" with my stamps. I pulled out quite a bit ink pads and .... played. LOVE the results *sigh*

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you soon :)

Hugs Tanja

Supplies:
stamps: all PTI: Guide Lines Two, Fillable Frames #4, text style: places, please
ink: baja breeze, pacific blue, pumpkin pie
paper: PTI white, pear pizzaz

cqc52 - happy birthday colorQ

Hi there,

here is another colorQ card for you today. Due to the fact that colorQ celebrate it's first birthday today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!) Arielle challenged us to create a card based on a sketch and with our favorite past colorQ combo.

I chose cQc #22 because I just love those combo - airy and breezy *happy sigh*. And I was in a need of a bookmark/ card so I decided to combine both.

This is the inside of the card.

I borrowed this "special" perforation cutter from my SiL and I think I need one for myself. This thingy cut the perforation exactly there where it belongs - love it! And after you finished reading thecard you just rip of the bookmark and use for whatever book you are reading - GREAT!

The sentiments and images are from PTI "All booked up" set - which is just the perfect set for all this little book related gifties .

That'll be all for today. Please stop at the coloQ blog and celebrate with us - and of course don't forget to check out the cards from the DT - they rocked the challenge :)

Hugs Tanja

P:S: - will be back later with the supply-list - kids are screaming and bleeding :::rolleyes:::

Wedding-Day???

Hi everybody,

no, it's not wedding day over here but I thought I share this card with you today. I created it with one of Lori Boyd's digis "bride and groom" available in her shop - love it.
The sketch is from Sweet Sunday Sketch - so perfect to combine a bunch of scrap paper (here all from Boxer by Basic Grey).

And just in case I really need to give it away for a wedding I can add the initials of the bride and groom on the hearts ... we will see!

I'm off to prepare dinner now :)
Hugs and wish y'all a wonderful weekend

remember to smile - by Lori Boyd digi

Hi there,

what do yo think of this cutie??? I just LOVE her. I have "her" sitting on my desk colored in 3 different ways and waiting for the next matching sketch :).

This image is called "Peekaboo Baby" and can be found here. Lori Boyd is one talented designer, I tell you. She makes the most cutest images ever. When I first saw her Puddlejumpers I fell in love *happy sigh*.

For this card I didn't wanna make a typical baby card. I used the sketch from Jen del Muro and played with the challenge from Claudia and Company ( use 1 flower, 2 DP and 3 buttons - I actually figured out that it was NOT the challenge from Claudia an company - but I have no clue which one it was.... ) and made kind of an encouragement card. And since there is always somebody who can use one of those ... :)

Thank you for stopping by today - and a special thanky to all you who left this encouraging and sweet comments on my last posts. They all mean so much to me - huge hug to everybody
Tanja

Blast from the past - blog hop

Hi there,

and thank you for stopping by today. A warm welcome to all the hoppers who arrived here for the TE blog hop - you are on the right track :)

For today's hop I finally inked up my "You are my hero" set which was sitting on my desk for ever. And I used one of Taylor's awesome Key Ingredients set (just annot remember which one it is ...). Since I have to two and a lot of teenager around us this set is just PERFECT! So I tried to create a card that could be used for a boy or a girl. And the sketch Sankari provided was great to work with.

Unfortunately it was soo difficult to get a good pic from the card without any reflection from the foil - well, this is my best try, sorry!

The stars were stamped with black craft ink and then embossed with iridescent (???) embossing powder. In real life it looks so cool but on the photo ...:(. I added a lot of sponging with basic gray ink. The foil was cut with a circle nestie, embossed with an embossing plate from PTI and after that crumbled up. I like the look.

Gotta run, the kids need a nap (shhht, Mommy too ;))
Hugs to y'all and hope to see you back soon
Tanja

Supplies:
stamp: You are my hero - Taylored Expression

some family talk ...

Hi folks,

no card today. But some of you guys have asked about our "new life" in Germany. And I promised to post some pics.

I decided to start with some interesting pictures from the "BIG MOVE" from Alabama, USA to Lower Saxony in Germany.

Since we had a moving company coming to pack up A L L our stuff (I mean really everthing) it looked crazy like this:

part of the kitchen

dining room with living room

guess, what is this? yep, a small part of my stamping stuff. they packed everything pretty good but boy, I was watching them .....
the first container packed with a part of our 400 moving pieces

Mathis and Jannis pretty excited because of all the things going on (well, at least for a little while)

the first container jam-packed!!!! I mean it was FULL!

Here are the boys waiting for the rest of the boxes being brought into container #2

me and the boys resting under a tree and watching what's going on ...

now, it was time for the car to be packed up - SAD moment

bye bye baby!!

And this is Hartmann Family without furniture watching the german soccer team playing during the World Championchip. The boys enjoyed the empty house for quite a while but without their toys .... :(

Okay, here I will finish part 1 of our "New Life" series. Stay tuned for more pics here on the blog
Hugs Tanja

Announcement - tadaaaa!

Hi there,

have you heard the news yet? No? Do you want to know something veeeery exciting? Yes??? :)))))
Tadaaaa: Lori Boyd's new digi shop is opening and she is announcing her DT today. Ha, I thought that you might think "okay, so what?" but wait: I'm in her DESIGN TEAM, YEAH!!!!

Boy, I'm so excited. I feel so honored and I'm so looking forward to work with these talented ladies - you really should go and check out their blogs (you can find the links in the DT badge on the right side of this blog). Pure inspiration !
Thank you so much, Lori, for this opportunity!

Okay, now to my card for today.
I wanted to make one with a digi from Lori but when we plugged in our printer it made "poof", smelled like burnt eggs and .... nothing. So no printing here for me at the moment. I went back to my trusted Lucas Puddlejumper and put him on a card - here we go. The layout is from Mercy's sketch here and the card matches the Stampin' Royalty challenge too :).

And I tried my hands on some stitching again - usually a big deal for me because I'm not able to sew a straight line for 1/2 of an inch ... this time it worked pretty well and I really like how the black threat brings it all together. What do you think?

Thank oyu for stopping by today and celebrating with me!
Hugs Tanja

Supplies:
stamps: Lucas Puddlejumper by Lori Boyd, sentiment from My Guy Ian- TGF
ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
paper: sahara sand, PTI white, basic gray, Apple Jack DP from Sassafras
others: Copics, Stamping Pastels, sewing maschine and black threat, Mat Stack 1 die PTI, inverted scalloped circle nesties, buttons PTI, dimensionals

cqc#50 - sunshine flowers

Hi there,

it's colorQ time again - boy, where is this week gone? I think I need to slow down and enjoy the rainy weather here in Germany (since we haven't had it for at least four years :))

Miss Arielle found this wonderful inspiration photo and I have to admit that LOVE this color combo - unfortunately I don't owe any stamp pad from the new colors/in colors from SU but I think it's no big deal to change a little bit, right? And you can't see the difference on this photo anyway :)

For my card I used one of those stamp set Inkadinkado came up when the first wave of inchies rolled on. I love the images but I couldn't get a really good stamped one on paper - don't know what happened but every time I stamped one of this cuties I messed it up. So I stayed with this little image and went ahead. I really like the result - the colors just rock, what do you think? It's your turn to show us your creations at the colorQ website!

Thank you for visiting me today and stay tuned. There will be big news tomorrow and I'm already soooooo excited....
Hugs Tanja
