VLVApril - Love & Flower

Hi there,

how are you all doing? Are you enjoying spring weather so far?

You may already know that I love to play with the Viva la Verve challenge over at SCS. And this month the inspiration for the challenges comes from living room. I wish I had one of these living rooms myself ....

Amber had a bunch of great pictures from living rooms and I chose this one to get inspired for my card. I just couldn't make the warm brown tone of the table go with my color combo :-(

Here is a close-up view of my 3-D flower and the pleaded ribbon. LOVE this technique. I saw that on one of the blogs I visited today but unfortunately I cannot remember who posted this great tutorial ... so sorry!

Thank you for popping in today and a huge thank you to all of you who left this encouraging comments lately - they are so much appreciated!
Have a wonderful day
Hugs Tanja

Love sponging

Hello and happy Tuesday!

What do you think of this stamp????? Isn't it gorgeous? Since I saw it for the first time - I think on Tosha Leyendekker's blog - I had to have it. And when we went to Atlanta my dear husband found exactly this stamp and pointed out "Honey, I think you will make awesome things with this one, huh?". He is just the sweetest!!!!! But awesome things ..... well!
On Beate John's blog (I'm not sure maybe it was somewhere else..., sorry!) I saw that she sponged used this stamp, embossed it and just stamped the edges. And this is exactly what I did - love the colors..... like sundown .....

Thank you for visiting me today.
Hugs Tanja

PTI inspired goodies

Edit: OMG - I actually WON this contest and got a wonderful prizepackage from Papertrey Ink! I still cannot believe it!!!!!!!!! Huge thank you to Nichole and the PTI-Gang - you are the BEST!

Hi there,

another post today, yeah!!!! I managed to play with the PTI contest today. Nichole is still in the release countdown and today she challenged papercrafters to create selfmade flower-embellishment plus a matching card.

Since I saw those flowers for the first time on Dawn McVey's blog I fell in love wit them. So puffy and elegant. I took an old Mary Higgins Clark book and went to work. Buttons are from PTI and ribbon is from Michael's.
And I like how the card turned out - another 15 minutes project! LOVE those. :-)

And that was the reason I made another card plus matching flowers. My friend Arielle showed me how to do them a couple month ago but I haven't had an excuse to make them yet.... ;-)
I used my new "Turning a new leave" set from PTI and stamped it in kiwi kiss - sentiment is from "Damask Design" from PTI. I really like how the colors work together. DP for the flowers is from SU ...

Thank you for stopping by. If you would like to know how to do the flowers hop over to Dawn's or Arielle's blog or just give me a holler and I'll let you know!

Have a wonderful Sunday and stay safe
Hugs Tanja

StampingBella Blog Hop!

Hi there,

and welcome to the fantabulous "Love me do" blog hop from Stampingbella. And guess ... the theme for today's hop is LOVE!!!!!
When you came from Carisa's blog you are on the right track. If you just popped in today you may want to go back and start at the Stampingbella blog.

I tried my hands on a new-for-me fold: A free-standing pop-up card. You can find a tutorial for this at SCS or at Beate John's blog. I used topiarybella for this one and matted her on wild wasabi cs and a valentines DP that I had in my stash for decades ;-). The sentiment is from SU "three little words" set and was stamped in rose red on rose red cardstock. I colored Bella with watercolor pencils and blended her with a blender pen. Threw in some stickles, dew drops, organza ribbon and a heart brad. I I think the base of the pop-up is still a little plain but I'm more of a clean and simple girl anyway *insert smile here*

Thank you for visiting me today and have lots of fun when you hop over to my friend Jeanette's blog
Have a wonderful weekend
Hugs Tanja
