MTSC68 - Hey Dude

Hi there,

another short post today - kids are sleeping now but don't feel very good - a stomach bug is making his round, I think .....

I played with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch and had to ink up Ethan from StampingBella right away. I colored him with my watercolor pencils and cut him out with Nesties and matted him. All the DP was in one of last year's Key Ingredients from Taylored Expression - Love that paper! Buttons are PTI and cardbase is rustic white.

Gotta hurry, someone's crying again...

color dare and STampinbella

Hi there,

and welcome! Boy, what a weekend. We got snow, DH went to Dayton to attend his first NASCAR race and I won one an awesome price at PTI!!! Phew, it took me a little while to cool down from that whirlwind.

Back to business - today's card is my third take for my guest designer spot at the COLOR DARE.

Riley challenged the team to use rich razzleberry, pale plum, tempting turquoise and basic black plus white. And here is what I whipped up:

I stamped Daisybella and colored her with my watercolor pencils. The shadow around her was made with one of my brandnew Copics. LOVE them!

What do you think of this color combo? Isn't it a bomb? :-))

and welcome to the fantabulous "Love me do" blog hop from Stampingbella. And guess ... the theme for today's hop is LOVE!!!!!

When you came from Carisa's blog you are on the right track. If you just popped in today you may want to go back and start at the Stampingbella blog.

I tried my hands on a new-for-me fold: A free-standing pop-up card. You can find a tutorial for this at SCS or at Beate John's blog. I used topiarybella for this one and matted her on wild wasabi cs and a valentines DP that I had in my stash for decades ;-). The sentiment is from SU "three little words" set and was stamped in rose red on rose red cardstock. I colored Bella with watercolor pencils and blended her with a blender pen. Threw in some stickles, dew drops, organza ribbon and a heart brad. I I think the base of the pop-up is still a little plain but I'm more of a clean and simple girl anyway *insert smile here*

Good Morning everybody!

How are you doing today?

Do you remember my card kits? Well, I still have a couple of those. And today I wanna show you one of the images I'm in love with. It's Miss DaisyBittyBloom from Stampingbella and I think she is the sweetest! I got her in one of my card kits I received from a swap and I couldn't wait to color her in.

The best things of the card swaps are that you get the PP and have to try to use is (well, if you want to). And this lady came with those orange DP from SU - love love love it!

Have a closer look to the the big flower in the upper right corner. I stamped the "fresh cut" with Versamark on whisper white and colored it with Pastels and punched it out!

I still have to work on my shading skills but I really like how everything turned out.

another challenge

Hi there,

this time I tried the MOJO Monday challenge #89.

Again, I used one of the images I got in a card kit swap - believe me I just participated in 2 card kit swaps and I still have a lot of images as leftovers  =).  The image is from Stamingbella ...

I colored it with my SU markers and sponged all around the little girl.  The cs is mellow moss which I embossed with embossing template from SU. And underneath the yellow flower ... I stamped a flower from Inkadinkado in perfect plum on whisper white and punched it out.

Tomorrow I will be on my way to bring my husband to the Montgomery airport - he will go on a river-rafting-tour in the Grand Canyon with our neighbor! So no post tomorrow but I'm gonna show you another card with this lovely girl on Friday. Stay tuned!!!!

Congratulation

Hey folks,

I have to give a big shout to Mary and Lorie - they just became DT members! Mary for "The Greeting Farm" and Lorie for "Sweet and Sassy" - this two are awesome and so talented! Please droole over to their blocks and leave some congrats.

I wanted to show you another card made of some sraps.

I got the bella image from a card-kit-swap and put it to good use - I think!

It is really self-explaining - just used my Oval Scallop Nesties - and the DP is "Afternoon Tea". The Dew Drop are by Robin's Nest and the sentiment is a rub-on from SU!

I gotta run, we will prepare Enchilladas today. Have a wonderful day!!!!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #7

Hello everybody,

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial-Day

-Weekend. We went to Pensacola and spent a couple hours at the beach, visited the museum ..... We had fun and beautiful weather!

I want to show you 2 cards today.

The first one I made for Dawn McVey's color challenge:

Okay, to be honest: I wanted to use exactly this DP and there is obviously no Raspberry in it. So please, just think that the pink pirouette may look a liiiittle bit raspberry-ish, okay =) ?

It's a simple layout but I really like the color combo. I embossed the Always Artichoke with the swirl-embossing plate from SU and "colored" the swirls with a glitter pen - irl it looks fantasic - unfortunately you can't see it in the picture....

And the second card was made from some scraps I had laying on my desk ...

weekend again

Hello everybody,

wow, another week is gone and it was just Saturday, wasn't it?

In this time of the year (okay and from Thanksgiving to Christmas) we are super busy - one appointment after an other. Not a single day like the other ... Please, please let me know that you go the same way ..... =)

But nevertheless I could relax and little while I was doing some cards for a swap for my sweet friend from Canada Paola (aka Sama). She is hosting a swap about your favorite pasttime. Well, besides stamping and ... and ... my favorite pasttime is scuba diving. Have you ever tried to find a diving related stamp? Probably not. Let me tell you - I found a bunch of quite "unknown" stamp companies but no one carries a diving stamp. So I had to skip this idea and went with .... shopping!!! I love to stroll the shops and watch out for nice stamping stuff or kids clothes or any good deal. I could do that for hours and days - buying wouldn't be necessary ;-) .

So, this is what I came up with.

I stamped the emmybella on whisper white and paper pieced it with soft sky, blue bayou and groovy guava DSP. I put a mat in blue bayou and soft sky underneath the lady. My blue bayou DSP (yes, I wanna get rid of it!) was matted on whisper white and glued on a piece of soft sky. Groovy guava double stitched ribbon was wrapped around and fixed with a white eyelet. Clean and easy but I like her!
